Anderson’s husband pleaded guilty to child molestation

Dec. 24 – ANDERSON – An Anderson man pleaded guilty to child molestation and possession of child pornography.

Marcus P. Delvaux, 54, of the 1700 block of Lindbergh Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of child molestation and one count of possession of child pornography in Division 6 of Madison County District Court.

The plea deal limits his sentence to six years. Madison County District Court District 6 Judge Mark Dudley set sentencing for Jan. 17. Deputy U.S. Attorney Dan Kopp presented the state’s case.

Anderson police arrested Delvaux in August on suspicion of repeatedly fondling a young girl starting when she was 12 years old. In an interview with Kids Talk Forensics, the girl said that Delvaux touched her inappropriately and that he had child pornography.

The investigation began after a tip was made to the Indiana Department of Children’s Services hotline.

During the interview, Delvaux denied any inappropriate contact.

A search warrant on his cell phone revealed nude photos of women of unknown age. A forensic analysis of Delvaux’s mobile phone and laptop revealed at least 10 child pornography images depicting the sexual behavior of girls between the ages of 10 and 16.
