Ft. Smith, Arkansas man accused of sex trafficking in Osage Beach faces misdemeanor charge – KRMS News/Talk

A Fort Smith, Arkansas man initially charged with sex trafficking in and around Osage Beach during the summer was released today after avoiding a jury trial and pleading guilty.

Johnny Wesley Jackson, 43, was charged with third-degree felony promoting prostitution. On Tuesday, Jackson pleaded guilty in lieu of a misdemeanor charge of promoting prostitution with subjects 18 years of age or older.

In exchange for a Class B misdemeanor plea, the equivalent of a first-time DUI in Missouri, Jackson was sentenced to 145 days in jail with credit for time served and $119.50 in court costs.
