The police are looking for the suspect

Petaluma police are searching for a man suspected in a fight that left a man unconscious early Sunday.

According to the Petaluma Police Department, the fight happened around 1:50 a.m. Sunday outside the New Yorker Pizzeria, 3 Petaluma Boulevard North.

Officers found the subject “passed out and seriously injured as a result of the altercation,” police said in a news release Monday night.

It had a photo of the suspect on a nearby staircase.

Witnesses provided video of the fight, and police are investigating the incident as an assault.
