Allu Arjun was interrogated for more than three hours in the theater stampede case

Earlier, amid heightened security, the actor reached the Chikkadpally police station around 11 am.

On December 23, the police issued a notice to the actor asking him to appear before them for further questioning. Police have increased security at the police station and imposed restrictions around the police station.

Allu Arjun’s father Allu Aravind, other family members, his lawyers also arrived at the police station.

A woman named Revathi was killed and her son Sritei was seriously injured in a stampede at Sandhya Theater on December 4 during the premiere show Puspha 2: Rule. Theater manager Allu Arjun and his team were convicted of premeditated murder, which is not murder.

Allu Arjun, who police believe is accused number 11, was arrested on December 13. His statement was recorded at the Chikkadpally police station and he was later produced before a city court, which remanded him to 14-day custody. However, on the same day, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks. The next day, the actor was released from Chanchalgud jail.

The new notice to Allu Arjun comes amid reports that the police are planning to approach the High Court to revoke his interim bail.

On December 22, Hyderabad Police Commissioner KV Anand said that the police would take the next step in the case after receiving a legal opinion. The police chief also released the minute-by-minute CCTV footage of the Sandhya Theater incident to debunk Allu Arjun’s claims. Police have compiled a 10-minute video to give a clear account of what happened on December 4. Anand said the video was compiled after analyzing 1,000 video clips.

Speaking in the Assembly on December 21, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lashed out at Allu Arjun for visiting a theater without police permission and staging a ‘road show’ even after a woman died and her son was critically injured in a stampede. A few hours later, Allu Arjun addressed a press conference calling the allegations false. He also stated that he was hurt by the character assassination. However, the police have provided CCTV footage to refute the actor’s claims.
