Blake Lively pulls out of ‘SNL’ 50th concert over ‘It’s Over With Us’ drama

in widespread complaint submitted Blake Lively over the weekend claiming It ends with us co-author and director Justin Baldoni sexually harassed her and coordinated a massive smear campaign against her Cat graduate said that one of the consequences of misconduct in the workplace was the canceled appearance as Saturday night live Host of the 50th season premiere.

The job eventually went to Jean Smart, as the complaint states that negative chatter about the on-set drama prompted Lively to step in, with the producer saying that she “did not believe she could continue to make public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened to establish”.

“The impact on Ms. Lively’s professional life was immediate and significant,” the document said, continuing, “For example, Ms. Lively canceled a major Target corporate event for her hair care company, and she withdrew from her planned role as host of the premiere episode Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary Season in September 2024.”

A document filed Friday with the California Department of Civil Rights alleges that Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studiosamong other things, engaged in a “difficult press and digital plan in retaliation for Ms. Lively’s exercise of her legally protected right to speak about their inappropriate behavior on set.”

Complaint details general meeting, which marked the beginning of the resumption of filming of the popular film adaptation Colleen Hoover novel (about a relationship tainted by domestic violence) following the guild strikes, where Lively, husband and actor Ryan Reynolds and Baldoni were present to discuss the latter’s “disturbing behavior”, which included but was not limited to his adding impromptu kissing and sex scenes, discussing his porn addiction, the claim that he could communicate with Lively’s late father, and the joke that he “missed an HR meeting” after Lively dismissed the comments, which made her “feel pushy and exposed” and “very uncomfortable.”

The 80-page document also contains seemingly damning communications between Baldoni, his team and a veteran crisis PR Melissa Nathan (who also worked with Johnny Depp during his courtship with Amber Heard), who he hired amid hot rumors right after the film’s release on August 9.

In response to the allegations, Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, said in part, “It is disgraceful that Ms. Lively and her representatives are making such serious and patently false allegations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and their representatives in yet another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ their negative reputation that has been obtained through her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film; interviews and press activity observed publicly, in real time and without editing, allowing the Internet to generate its own views and opinions.”

As news of the filing of the complaint broke Friday night, Baldoni was rejected from WME, which previously represented Baldoni and now represents Lively. In addition, the author Hoover expressed her support for Lively, saying, “From the day we met, you’ve been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient. Thank you for being the kind of person you are. Never change. It will never work.”
