Is Raider Nation Sleeping On Tom Brady’s Organizational Impact?

The only good news for the Las Vegas Raiders this season seems to be off the football field. The Raiders are having a season that players, coaches and Raider Nation didn’t expect. Many people are surprised that this football team loses.

Perhaps the best thing that could happen to the Silver and Black is the addition of Tom Brady as a minority owner.

Many people do not notice this? Did people not realize the impact Brady would have on a certain team?

It will be interesting to see how Raider Nation handles this over time. We all know about the Tuck rule and the impact it had on the organization, as well as the fans’ dislike of New England and Brady himself.

Owner Mark Davis is willing to do anything to get the Raiders to win and play important games.

Our own Hondo Carpenter and The Spun’s Matt Hladik talked about what Brady brings to the Raiders in a recent episode “Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast”.

“We’ve seen legends like this before either as general managers or as owners or in an organization in the NFL and other sports,” Hladik said. “There’s a lot of hope, but it doesn’t work out. Again, there’s the unknown factor. I’ve never seen Brady do that. But he’s been successful in just about everything he’s put his mind to. And I think if you’re a Raider fan, you say what else has worked for us in the past 20 years Nothing.

“Why not take a chance on someone with his pedigree? With his importance in the league and football, as well as with experience and knowledge. He has and is seeing if it helps. Especially considering the Raiders are going to be looking for a new franchise quarterback as soon as this offseason, it’s a decision that will shape the next four or five years for the franchise … Tom Brady could point to you know what factors you want to pay attention in the quarterback of the franchise that may arise, he should know with which he can be a useful Raider fan, I’m glad to try it.”
