Man begs to be stabbed; wife’s friend seriously injured – Daily Tribune

A man charged with attempted murder and domestic violence in a Farmington Hills stabbing recently pleaded guilty to the charges after waiving trial.

Curtis Leroy Washington Jr., 35, pleaded no contest to two counts of assault with intent to murder and second-felony domestic violence for attacking his estranged wife and her friend last year. Washington entered his plea several weeks ago before Judge Kwame Roe of Oakland County Circuit Court, and sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 4. The trial in Washington was scheduled for October 29.

A plea of ​​no contest is not an admission of guilt, but is treated as such for sentencing purposes. It may also offer some protection from liability in civil cases.

The stabbing occurred after Washington broke into his estranged wife’s Timber Ridge Apartments home on Sept. 29, 2023, and stabbed another man, then a 32-year-old Warren resident.

Police Chief Jeff King said children were present during the attack.
