Did Penguin create Bat-Crumbs for Epic Villain Hush to be introduced for Batman Part II?

I totally think so Penguin has so far proven to be one of the best film-to-TV spin-offs of all time, as it is fully humanized Colin FarrellOz Cobb made it possible more fun to watch than Robert Pattinson’s Batman himself. The show doesn’t even need tons of connective tissue batman the film was a winner, although fans still eat it all up Easter eggs related to riddles and Titles “No man’s land”.. So let’s discuss these potential links to Hush.

Okay, maybe it would be cheeky to just call them Hush links, but Penguin has already mentioned the supervillain’s last name twice, which coincides with the biggest comic news for Hush since the original arc. So, this is all happening as a build-up for Matt Reeves Batman: Part II?

Elliott Bridge is seen in episode 3

The third episode, “Bliss,” begins with flashbacks to the night the Riddler bombs went off, but is told from the perspective of Victor, who was enjoying a night on a rooftop with friends, his love interest, and his future victim. Aside from all the future consequences laid out in the scene, the biggest Batman moment came when Victor looked over the edge of the building to see a raging flood from a natural disaster.

It was then that the Elliott Bridge sign could be seen next to the Midtown sign as shown below.

A likely conclusion is that Thomas Elliot’s ancestor was one of the founding fathers of Gotham City, as stated in the comics, and was important enough to have the bridge that connects the city named after him. It is not known if Edward Elliott was killed batman would be related, but I doubt it would be a coincidence, given that Edward is an ancestral name used in the comics.

Elliot Bridge, mentioned by Oz in episode 6

In the episode, which also mentions Byrne Street, very likely a reference to comics giant John Byrne, PenguinColin Farrell said the name of the attraction out loud during the scene where Oz gave his big speech to all the other mob leaders and their second bananas. Here’s how he put it, making Gotham City’s wealthiest families the real villains:

Do you want revenge? What the hell is stopping you? They’re right over the Elliot Bridge! The bridge your forefathers built, Donnie Boy, but it’s not called Sullivan. Ha? No, it’s named after the rich crooks who took credit for your family.

Another indication that the Elliotts were a powerful family in the area where the bridge was built. And it should be noted that the Cobblepot family also belonged to this upper class of citizens, but later lost their wealth in one way or another. So maybe there’s room for Batman: Part II or another chapter in this universe to delve into Oz having specific issues with those who wronged his family in previous generations.

Hush 2 takes place at DC Comics

With larger details still under wraps, DC icons Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb announced at NYCC that they will be working on a sequel Batman: Quietthe seminal 2002 story that introduced one of the greatest villains in the rogues gallery. Quieter 2 will take place in the pages of DC’s batman monthly series in 2025 following the departure of current writer Chip Zdarsky, whose final issue is due in February. (The story-prelude will be a part Justice League Unlimited #1.)

To be clear, Hash has already been rumored and considered a potential villain Matt ReevesThe long-awaited sequel due to the fact that Edward Elliot appeared in the first film. Thus, expectations were already fixed in place, meaning any seemingly related name Penguin the audience would catch on.

So no one in the world can convince me that Lee and Loeb Quieter 2 the announcement, even its timing, is 100% unrelated Penguin and batmancontinuation. Even if we don’t get to see the full picture of the big bad on the big screen just yet, I believe these are really small pieces of storytelling that could eventually lead to something bigger in another an upcoming Batman-centric series or movie.
