Homicide investigation in North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina. On Tuesday morning, one person was killed and two others were hospitalized as a result of the shooting.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon that called for service on Sunset Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a person with a gunshot wound. Doctors declared the victim dead on the spot. During the investigation, law enforcement officers found that two more victims were shot. Both were taken to the hospital.

At the moment, no suspects have been identified.
