Sauce Gardner posts tweets and deletes response to criticism

The New York Jets mess up and down, top to bottom, left to right. Their record fell to 2-6 after losing five straight. The Aaron Rogers an era seems to have ended, when in fact it never began. And stalwarts like Sauce Gardner seem to be regressing.

To be honest Gardner saucethis season, the Jets’ defense has been a piece of cake as they’ve given up at least 20 points in four straight games and haven’t come up with many clutch stops when the team needed them.

Gardner, one of the best cornerbacks NFL he was also in the midst of a rough patch during his first two seasons in the league, which led to him receiving some criticism from Jets‘ long-suffering fan base.

Gardner, who has always been too online — as evidenced by his tweet earlier this year about “most women” and “insecure behavior” — became aware of the criticism he faced and decided to respond on X, formerly Twitter.

“I have a few things here. 1, I tried to play the ball and it was a great placement of the ball. This is football; this happens. 2. A PRIMETIME NFL football game is coming up and here’s what’s on your mind. Rent?”

Gardner has 18 tackles, 3 passes defensed, zero forced fumbles and zero interceptions in eight games this season. After his first two seasons in the NFL, Gardner was named to the All-Pro for the first time and to the Pro Bowl.

Gardner and the Jets will look to snap their five-game losing streak when they host the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football on Halloween night.
