A television host was arrested after the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department was called to respond to a guest who had been bitten by a camel.
Deputies were then “instantly overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle,” according to a statement shared by authorities on Facebook.
The mother of two was reportedly taken to the emergency room for treatment of a camel bite before being taken into custody.
Slayton was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs and two counts of child endangerment.
She was at the zoo with a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn, who was also arrested and convicted on the same charges.
The TLC star and Lovevorn were later seen holding hands after being released on $10,000 bail.
It is reported that the authorities discovered psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in Slayton’s possession while her two children were in the car.
She has 4-year-old Gage and 2-year-old Glenn ex-husband Michael Halterman.
The couple finalized their divorce in September 2023.
