Abhinav Arora’s family files case against ‘anti-Hindu’ YouTubers for ‘online harassment’

The family of Abhinav Arora, a 10-year-old spiritual influencer known to his followers as ‘Bal Sant Baba’, has approached a Mathura court seeking a criminal case against seven people accused of cyberbullying the child over her social media content. The legal action, Bar and Bench reported, was initiated by Abhinav’s mother, who named seven YouTubers as the main defendants in a complaint alleging that content creators maliciously uploaded a video aimed at mocking her son’s spiritual beliefs.

Abhinav’s family claims that the alleged video not only demeans the young influencer’s religious practices, but also invades his privacy and has caused him significant emotional distress. “The actions of the defendants caused considerable mental suffering to the applicant’s minor child, especially considering that the applicant’s minor child is only 10 years old. He cannot freely practice his religion or live his daily life without fear of being harassed or abused physically or online,” the complaint said, highlighting the suffering caused by cyberbullying.

Abhinav Arora has become a prominent figure in religious social media circles, amassing over 950,000 followers on Instagram. Its content often includes celebrating Hindu festivals, reciting scriptures, and interacting with respected religious figures. However, despite his positive portrayal of the spiritual life, Abhinav has faced a wave of skepticism and criticism that questions his authenticity as a religious figure.

They said Abhinav had recently received death threats from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Speaking to ANI, his mother Jyoti Arora shared her concern over the situation, saying, “Efforts are being made to make our social escalation through social media. Abhinav has done nothing for which we are receiving threats…Abhinav has done nothing but devotion which he has to endure like this.” The statement underscores the family’s anguish as they try to protect the young influencer from online abuse and real-life threats.

The controversy surrounding Abhinav recently escalated after a video of Swami Rambhadracharya berating a young influencer went viral, drawing even more public attention and criticism of Abhinav’s spiritual role.
