Wayne Swan accuses Cbus pension critics of ‘indecent politics’ and ‘deliberate harm’ after CFMEU scandal

National president and former ALP treasurer Wayne Swan has reignited the pension wars, saying industry funds are under attack from critics who envy their success, while staunchly defending their controversial management models as being in the best interests of clients.

Mr Swan described criticism of the union-appointed board members of Cbus, which he chairs, as “absolutely inaccurate, hysterical and unwarranted”, given its “remarkable 40-year track record”.
