Elections in the swinging state of Michigan will be determined by what campaigns can get the majority of voters According to many experts, they will go to the polls in the last week of the race.

“The campaign’s No. 1 priority and the party’s priority right now is getting our people out to vote,” Jimmy Keady, founder and president of Republican consulting firm JLK Political Strategies, told Fox News Digital.

Comments only come in one week in Drama mode election seasonwith only a few battlefield states in the game to decide the fate of the race.

MICHIGAN CAMPAIGN STOPS IN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES HALF TIME THAN 2020, 2016

Perhaps the most important of these states is Michigan, a state in flux that barely made it Donald Trump in 2016 before going back to Joe Biden in another close race in 2020.

Polls suggest another tight race is brewing in the state, with the RealClearPolitic polling average showing Trump by 0.1 points as of Monday. Meanwhile, the latest Fox News Power Rankings list Michigan as a draw, with Trump only a slight betting favorite in the state, with ElectionBettingOdds.com shows the former president has a 53.2% chance of leading the country as of Monday.

The part of the race where candidates try to convince voters is mostly over, Keady said, and Michigan comes down to whoever has the primary game to get the numbers between today and next Tuesday. Republicans will also focus on low-propensity voters, a demographic the party has targeted, hoping the group can potentially push them over the top, Keady said.

“A lot of these campaigns are going to be focused primarily on low propensity voters … voters who vote like one of the four elections, making sure they get in multiple times, making sure we get people to the polls to vote.” said Kiddy.

Jason Rowe, a Strategist of the Republican Party working in Michigan, echoed a similar sentiment, telling Fox News Digital that the time to convince undecided voters is almost over.

“There are not many undecided voters left, but there are disengaged voters who have never heard of a Republican campaign,” Roe said. “In addition to returning mail-in ballots and getting people to vote early, everyone’s focus is finding and mobilizing low-propensity voters and getting them to the polls.”

Keady also believes the strategy could help reduce the Republican vote in Michigan, where races like the Senate campaign between former Republican Mike Rogers and Democrat Alyssa Slotkin will help determine which party controlled by the Senate.

“Michigan and Nevada are one of only two of the seven states on the map that are primarily direct voting,” Keady said. “Getting low turnout voters to vote for Republicans and conservatives means it’s going to help keep the vote down.”

That optimism is echoed by Rogers himself, who told Fox News Digital that issues like “an open border, job-killing electric car mandates, rising gas and food prices” will help motivate voters to head to the polls in hopes of avoiding “more of the same.”

“Over the next week, Rogers’ team will be burning shoe leather to earn every vote,” Rogers said. “We will be organizing numerous rallies and stops across Michigan to share our message of getting America back on track.”

Keady also noted another possibility unique to Michigan in a scramble to get blue-collar and union voters to the polls with just a week to go.

“We see a lot trade union members to side with the Republicans because of their economic policies … especially when it comes to manufacturing jobs,” Keady said. “Campaigns absolutely need to push their micro-targets and connect with these union voters.”
