Apple’s new Mac mini models with M4 processors are expected to debut soon, details have leaked

On Wednesday, Apple is expected to introduce the next generation of Mac mini models based on M4 chips. Amazon appears to have released a comparison chart for these models, revealing a few details.

The graphic was removed from the list just minutes after it was posted, but it resembles what Apple uses on its website.

According to the schedule, the new Mac mini will be available in M4 and M4 Pro configurations. It will have up to a 14-core processor and 20-core GPU, along with up to 64GB of unified memory and 8TB of storage.

By comparison, the current Mac mini is equipped with an M2 or M2 Pro chip with a 12-core processor and 19-core GPU, as well as up to 32 GB of unified memory.

The M4 Mac mini is also likely to get a new Mac Studio-like design, with two USB Type-C ports on the front. It appears to be significantly smaller than the current version. Those ports could potentially be Thunderbolt 4, although there’s no mention of that.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg noted that the computer will be comparable in size to Apple TV. Also, no new colors are expected; they will only be available in silver.

Last week, Apple teased that it would likely announce several new Mac products, and ever since released an iMac based on the M4.
