A woman was found fatally wounded in a home in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Maryland — A 28-year-old woman was fatally shot early Monday in southeast Baltimore County, police said, prompting an investigation by homicide detectives.

Officers responded to a home in the 3700 block of Toon Street around 3:44 a.m. on Oct. 28 after a report of a shooting. Arriving at the scene, they found a woman with an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics arrived at the scene, but they could not save her, and she died on the spot. The authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
