The man shot to death at a Northwest Side apartment complex has been identified

SAN ANTONIO – RENEWAL: The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified a man who was shot to death over the weekend in northwest San Antonio.

According to officials, 20-year-old Isaiah Guevara died of multiple gunshot wounds. The medical examiner reported that his death was ruled a homicide.

ORIGINAL STORY: San Antonio police said they are investigating the cause of a fatal shooting early Saturday morning on the Northwest Side.

Officers were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Fredericksburg Road.

The caller told SAPD that they heard gunshots coming from the apartment and that several rounds went through the caller’s walls.

Officers said the caller was not injured, and authorities arrived at the scene and later determined that the shots had been fired from a nearby apartment.

When officers entered the apartment, DAP officers said officers found a man inside the apartment with an apparent gunshot wound.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations declared the man dead at the scene.

At the moment, the department said that they do not have any information about potential suspects.
