Although the song was reportedly performed in 2018, it recently gained widespread attention, sparking outrage among supporters of Lord Ayyappa and Hindu outfits. The singer faced harsh criticism and trolls. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case under four sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Information Technology Act.
