GTA 6 gameplay has reportedly been revealed in a new leak

Update: After fooling Grand Theft Auto fans and the internet at large, the new GTA 6 has been “leaked”. confirmed to be a very impressive forgery.

Original: A new GTA 6 gameplay leak has surfaced online, and it looks like it might be legit, unlike many other GTA 6 “leaks” that surfaced before this and were quickly debunked. The downside is that the leaked gameplay isn’t full of police chases, gunfights, or any of the open-world sandbox mayhem that Grand Theft Auto fans have come to expect from the series. Rather, the leak is much more boring than that. Regardless, this is possibly our most raw look at GTA 6 yet.

On social media platform X, a newly created account has posted what appears to be 29 seconds of video from GTA 6. The video appears to be from a CCTV camera in an alley and shows what appears to be a developer fiddling with developer tools. It’s nothing exciting, but it gives a much rougher look at the game than the reveal trailer, which showed zero gameplay.

It’s also possible that this leak is real, but old. In 2022, a massive data breach led to the build is in a very early stage of development GTA 6 goes online. This footage in particular has never been seen before, but it could have come from this massive leak and it just wasn’t there in the footage cascade.

Of course, it’s also possible that this is nothing more than a fake, but if it is, it’s an impressive fake that has misled many who mistook it for a genuine leak. If this is a genuine and new leak, there could be more as it would seem to indicate some type of new breach.
