Baltimore teens arrested after kidnapping 81-year-old woman at gas station





BALTIMORE. Four teenagers were arrested Thursday after an unarmed carjacking that targeted an elderly woman at a Baltimore gas station, police said.

North County officers responded to a gas station in the 5600 block of York Road around 8:37 a.m. after an 81-year-old woman reported that a male suspect, between the ages of 16 and 20, took her car keys and forced his way into her car. sedan before fleeing.

The stolen vehicle was located several hours later, at approximately 12:45 p.m., thanks to a description provided by police and assistance from Foxtrot Aviation and the Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATT). Police arrested four 15-year-olds — three males and one female — in a car in the 5400 block of York Road.

The three male suspects, all previously arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a handgun, burglary and aggravated assault, have been identified as known to law enforcement, officials said.

The minors were taken to the Juvenile Center, but later released to the custody of their parents.
