Ardmore police release body camera footage of officer-involved shooting

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) — The Ardmore Police Department has released body camera footage that captured the moments leading up to officer involved shooting at the gas station on Thursday.

The shooting happened during a stop near the Tiger Mart on Veterans Boulevard.

Police said Joshua Estrada gave false identification because of an outstanding warrant, then told the officer, “I’ve got a gun, I’m going to use it,” and appeared to stick something out the window.

The officer then fired several shots.

Estrada was taken to Exceptional Community Hospital in Ardmore, where he was treated and released, and he was later arrested Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for Terrorist Threats.
