Suspect arrested in connection with homicide in Grays Harbor County, Washington

According to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office (GHSO), 43-year-old Brandon Creech was arrested and booked into the jail on Saturday and charged with the murder of Martin Morales-Sotelo.

On September 16, 2024, around 6:10 p.m., deputies responded in the area of ​​St. and Bear Gulch Rd. after a passing motorist called 911 to report a suspicious vehicle parked nearby.

When deputies arrived, they approached the vehicle and found 61-year-old Martin Morales-Sotelo inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators processed the scene, interviewed possible witnesses and reviewed video surveillance footage.

Deputies eventually identified Creech as a potential suspect and took him into custody around 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

Creech will make his first appearance in Grays Harbor County Superior Court on Monday, where he is charged with second-degree murder.

GHSO says the investigation is ongoing.
