Southeast D.C. restaurant robbed, police ask for help identifying surveillance camera suspect

A southeast D.C. restaurant has been robbed at gunpoint, and the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is searching for a suspect.

On Oct. 12 at approximately 2:51 p.m., a man was captured on surveillance video entering a business in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue Southeast.

Witnesses saw a man point a gun at an employee, take cash from the cash register, and then flee the scene, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
