A 28-year-old woman was shot at a Brewers Hill apartment building

BALTIMORE. A flat in Brewers Hill turned into a crime scene overnight after a 28-year-old woman was shot dead. Baltimore police say they were called to a “home in the 3700 block of Toon Street” around 3:45 a.m. Monday. Porter is at this address. There were few details, the neighbors were on the alert.

“There was a kidnapping/shooting about a block from here so I figured it was inside and so probably someone knew the victim or it was outside and at 4 in the morning it could have been a carjacking, it could have been anything.” , said Brewers Hill resident Noah Rauscher.

“I moved to this part of town because I know the town and I thought it was probably safer here,” said another resident, Aidan Brannigan.

“Anytime a life is lost, it affects the community because it’s a concern,” said Brant Fisher, president of the Brewers Hill Community Association. He was told it was domestic violence.

The identity of the victim has not been released, and there is no information about the suspects.

“At this point, at least from the details that we have, no, I don’t think there is any threat to the public because this is an isolated incident.”

A resident of The Porter shared this message with us from the property management team.

People who live in the area say they generally feel safe.

“It caught me off guard. This could be the last nail in the coffin to get a license to carry,” Brannigan said, noting that he recently thought about getting a license “just in case.”

Baltimore police said they expect more information to be released soon. Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2422 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
