Erie police are asking for help finding a missing 11-year-old boy

Erie police have found an 11-year-old boy who was last seen Sunday afternoon, shortly after they asked for the public’s help Monday morning.

Police wrote in an initial release that the boy initially ran away from the residence near Flatirons Meadow Boulevard and Meadow Sweet Lane with another boy, but the older boy was found.

Police asked the public to check the property and CCTV for any sightings and to contact the department with any information.

In a statement released minutes later, police said he had been found safe.
