City announces .1 million to repair Redding’s riverwalks

Pavement part a a one million dollar renovation project is set to take place along the Sacramento River Trail in Redding this week.

From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 29-31, crews will pave a portion of the trail from Harlan Drive to the Stress Ribbon Bridge on the north side of the Sacramento River, then from the Stress Ribbon Bridge to the Middle Creek Bridge on the south side .

During this period, the trail will be closed to the public and signs will be posted at affected trailheads. City officials are recommending that all residents who wish to use the trail avoid the area Tuesday through Thursday this week.
