Owner of XL Bully ‘didn’t care’ when hellhound attacked 12-year-old girl and left her with horrific injuries as he pleads guilty

AN XL Bully’s owner was “not bothered” when his dog viciously attacked a 12-year-old girl and left her with “horrendous” injuries.

Justin Allison, 37, was “doing nothing” when his dog latched onto the girl’s arm in Nantiglo, South Wales, on October 7 this year.

The girl was urgently taken to the hospital, she had to operate on the tendons on her arm. She also received nasty cuts on her back.

Allison today pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury, possessing a dangerous dog and possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

Newport Magistrates’ Court heard that the young girl was walking with her father when she spotted bully XL “running towards her very quickly”.

When the dog got closer, it started growling and the frightened girl ran to her dad.

But the dog jumped on her back and grabbed her hand.

The animal, Rocco, was on her arm for “seconds” before the girl’s dad rushed to her aid.

He began to wrestle with the dog when Allison finally appeared nearby.

Lisa Lewis, prosecuting, told the court: “The girl described how he did not bother to help her dad when she was screaming in the middle of the road.

“She managed to push dad towards the owner and he managed to put a leash on the dog.”

“He didn’t offer any help at all.

“The girl’s mother came and pounced on the defendant, asking why the dog was not muzzled.

“The dog then tried to follow her mum but luckily the defendant told the mum to go away and pulled the dog away.”

After the incident, Ellison told the family that he would be at his house next door if anyone needed him.

It became known in court that physically the girl is recovering well, but the psychological impact is not yet clear.

After the arrest, Allison surrendered the dog, which was later removed.

He will be sentenced next month.

However, Ellison was sentenced today for a separate incident in which he was caught drink-driving in May earlier this year.

Allison was seen speeding into the car park of Lakeside Retail Park in Brynmar in a black Audi A4.

Allison and another man walked into the Asda store from the Audi.

Meanwhile, the officer entered the car’s number plate into the police’s national computer and found it had no third-party insurance.

The officer then noticed that Allison was “sweaty and pale with dilated pupils.”

A subsequent test showed he had 240 micrograms of the cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine per liter of blood, almost five times the legal limit of 50 micrograms.

Allison pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs without a license or insurance.

The defendant, who is unemployed and lived with his grandparents, was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £120.

Allison was also convicted of drugged driving
