“What girl needs a husband when she can have a possessed cat instead?” reads the overlay text in the clip.

The poster, 26-year-old Emma Bianchi from San Diego, said Newsweek that her cat, Fredo, is a four-year-old she rescued when she was still in college, and they’ve been traveling and traveling together ever since.

Nearly 10 million TikTok users have viewed the video, with some commenting on how lucky she is to have a cat that loves her so much.

One user, Sarinha, commented: “The way he looks at her.”

Mapu added: “I’ve never been so jealous.”

While most cats don’t usually express their love as openly as Fredo, that doesn’t mean they don’t really have a special place in their heart for their owners.

According to the Pango Vet article, cats really can form strong bonds with their owners, and they have many unique ways of showing their humans how much they love them, some more obvious than others.

If your cat follows you, greets you at the door when you come home, purrs around you, sleeps next to you and shows you her belly, consider yourself lucky because your cat definitely loves you.

Other ways cats show their love and affection include rubbing their heads against you, licking you, bringing you “gifts”, meowing back when you talk to them, blinking slowly at you, and coming over when you call them by name.

If you feel that your bond with your cat is not that strong, there are a few things you can do to help build trust and mutual respect.

Georgia veterinarian Jess Kirk says on Vet Explains Pets that you can help your feline relationship by being patient, understanding, and responsive to their needs.

You also need to respect their boundaries and learn to communicate in a way that makes them feel safe.
