A nighttime murder in Algiers is being investigated

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an overnight homicide in the Algiers neighborhood.

NOPD officers said they were called to the scene of a shooting in the 3200 block of General De Gaulle Street around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.

A man and a woman have died in a suspected Slidell murder-suicide

Upon arriving at the scene, the police reported that they found the victim in the car with a gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by NOLA EMS.

More detailed information is currently unavailable. The NOPD is gathering evidence and information to establish a possible suspect and motive.

Lafayette woman killed in Lafourche Parish crash

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy has been performed and family has been notified.
