Netflix wants you to share memorable moments with a new feature

Netflix has a running feature that allows viewers to go beyond water cooler talk tv show and movies. Its new Moments feature lets you share, save and re-watch memorable moments from the titles you stream. Pay attention to — or bookmark — the scenes that leave you confused, goosebumps, or downright satisfying. Feature began to unfold around the world on Monday for iOS users and will arrive on Android in the coming weeks.

Moments will mark your favorite spot down to the minute and second in a specific episode or movie for you to share or save. To use it in the Netflix phone app, click Moments at the bottom of the screen to save the scene to yourself My Netflix hub.. Whenever you select it to replay that particular moment, the video will start from there.

You can also share your favorite moments with friends and family via text messages or social media accounts like Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook. The sharing feature works whether you’re sending a Moments scene saved in My Netflix or want to send it in real time while watching a movie or TV show.

Moments is one of the latest personalized features Netflix has rolled out or tested for subscribers in recent months. In June, the streaming service announced a a beta test for a TV program redesign. Select users in the app will see advanced navigation and recommendations to make it easier to find and view content.
