New York police have released new photos in the manhunt for the CEO of UnitedHealthcare

In the two new photos, the suspect was unmasked for the first time, with his mask just below his chin. The photos were taken by a security camera, although the NYPD has not disclosed where. Most of his face can be seen on both, but not all of it.

“It doesn’t look like a random act of violence; all indications are that this was a deliberate, targeted attack. The NYPD is continuing to investigate and we are asking for the public’s help,” the NYPD wrote in a social media post, offering a $10,000 reward for any further information about him.

Experts believe that the shooter’s days of freedom are numbered with the latest find.

“With these new photos, if this is indeed the shooter, it’s only a matter of time,” Fox News crime analyst Paul Mauro. told Fox News Digital. “Facial recognition and other technologies have come a long way and I understand that the police have made progress on other fronts in this case. It’s more true than ever that you can’t get away with murder these days. Detectives will soon find the person behind this.”

It is noteworthy that the suspect is dressed in a different outfit than what was caught on footage of him at Starbucks and during the shooting itself. In the newly released picture, he is wearing a gray jacket with chest pockets. In previous shots, he was wearing a black jacket without breast pockets. His gray backpack is also missing from the new photo. This prompted some users on social media to suggest that different people were there.

According to the NYPD and released surveillance footage, Thompson was shot at 6:46 a.m. near New York Hilton Midtown, where he was on his way to a UnitedHealthcare investor conference. His killer quickly fled the scene and was last seen in Central Park. He was caught on a surveillance camera while escaping on a bicycle.
