A missing woman was found wrapped in a blanket in her garage

A woman who was reported missing was found dead in her garage in Philadelphia

Police issued a missing person report for Ivelisse Lugo, 51, at around 9:40 a.m. Sunday, according to 6ABC and NBC10.

She was last seen at approximately 8:15 a.m. Saturday at her home in the 5900 block of Elsinore Street. the police said. Her daughter went door to door asking neighbors if they had seen her, 6ABC reported.

When police returned to Lugo’s residence around 4:20 p.m. Sunday, they found her body in the garage, wrapped in a blanket and towel. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Lugo suffered multiple stab wounds. No weapons were found at the scene.

The first missing persons report believed that Lugo may have been with her husband, who remained behind. Although his name has not been released, police said he is the owner of a 2006 Chevy Express minivan with Pennsylvania license plate #ZRR-4023 and a cross on the back door.
