The “ghost cook” pleaded guilty to preparing false tax returns

A Maryland man pleaded guilty to preparing and filing a false tax return for a client, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Justice, Anthony Judd was a full-time special police officer at the National Archives and Records Administration and a part-time return preparer. Since at least 2013, he prepared and filed more than 40 false tax returns for individual clients that understated the amount of tax they owed and inflated their refunds.
