Will Vice President Sara Duterte file a third impeachment suit?

A third impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte is approaching.

Vice President SARAH DUTERTE – The first and second impeachment charges against the Vice President have been filed and the third is brewing.

Earlier, The first impeachment complaint against Vice President Sarah Duterte was submitted and endorsed by Akbayan Party representative Percival Sendana. A 50-page impeachment complaint filed by religious leaders, sector representatives and families of drug war victims was filed.

This covered alleged crimes and violations related to corruption and misconduct.

Secretary General of the House of Representatives Reginald Velasco confirmed that his office received the complaint, which focused on allegations of “abuse, misuse and waste” of confidential funds; systematic concealment of such actions through fabricated reports on work performance, receipts and documents submitted to the Audit Commission (KOR); and willful obstruction of Congressional investigation and oversight.

Velasco recently discovered that some congressmen are threatening third parties. He did not provide further details, but was told it would be filed next week at the latest. It was agreed that it would remain confidential until the submission took place.

“There will be a complaint filed next week on the file to be filed,” Velasco said.

Against the backdrop of Duterte’s impeachment proceedings, Palas distanced himself and emphasized that he had nothing to do with it. President Bongbong Marcos had earlier urged lawmakers to dissuade them from impeaching Duterte, saying the controversy involving the vice president was just a “tempest in a teacup.”

Meanwhile, the impeachment complaints add to what she already faces — an investigation into her alleged death threats against the president and another investigation into her use of public funds.
