A man was detained for harassing a colleague

Ludhiana: Police have arrested a man working as a manager at a gym in Jamalpur for sexually harassing a female colleague. The woman allegedly quit her job and filed a police report.
After investigation, the police registered a case under section 354-A (sexual harassment) and 506 (criminal intimidation) against the accused.
In her statement to the police, the woman indicated that she worked as a manager in a gym where the accused worked as a floor manager. She claimed he made comments to her and she reported it to the gym’s owners, who did nothing.
She said that on July 11 she was resting in the exercise room when the accused followed her and sexually assaulted her. She added that he fled after she raised the alarm. The incident was recorded by video surveillance cameras.
The woman quit her job and filed a police report on July 14. She also provided Recording of video surveillance cameras to the police
Sub-inspector Palwinder Singh, the investigating officer, said the case was registered after an investigation. The accused has not yet been arrested.
