Jake Paul deletes post after leak of how much Tommy Fury turned down for Netflix rematch – News Boxing

Jake Paul revealed how much he was offering Tommy Fury to fight live on Netflix, but deleted his post.

Earlier this month Paul faced Mike Tyson in a record event was broadcast live to 70,000 fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

According to Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, there were 108 million viewers a total of 65 million of those were live streams, making it the most-streamed sporting event of all time.

Paul beat Tyson, 58, by unanimous decision in an eight-round heavyweight bout to improve to 11-1 in his professional career.

His only career loss came against rage, who defeated him on points in a heavyweight bout in Saudi Arabia in February 2023. But according to Paul, there was a lucrative offer on the table for Fury to have a rematch with Paul live on Netflix.

“Offered Fury $8 million to fight on Netflix,” Paul said in a post that has since been deleted.

“He gave it up and now he’s fighting an MMA fighter… Now tell me who’s running? A stupid dad controls the child, protects him from the inevitable.”

During the Tyson fight, Paul boasted that he would earn around $40 million (£31.1 million) from the fight, while “Iron” Mike would earn around $20 million for his return.

After defeating Paul, Fury turned his attention to fellow YouTuber KSI and won again by unanimous decision after the showdown in Manchester in October 2023.

After a long layoff following a necessary surgery, Fury returns to the ring against his ex UFC fighter Darren Thiel returned to his hometown on January 18 on the Misfits & DAZN: X Series 20 card.

in the press conference that started it allthe Liverpool player threatened to headbutt “TNT” if the fight did not go his way results in automatic disqualification.

“At the end of the day, I can’t beat you, I’ll just kick you in the face,” the former UFC welterweight title contender said during his pre-fight press conference via Mirror.

“How about this? I’m a real fighter, not a boxer. I don’t walk into a room like this and see boxing and go ‘f**k.’

“I come in, no one threatens me here. No one in this room, the security, you, your dad, is a threat to me.

“I’m an MMA fighter, so if I want to kick or elbow you in the face, I will, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.”
