Move over Bollywood clicks — Zoya Akhtar has upped her team game! The director, known for her love of storytelling and enviable Instagram aesthetic, found herself sandwiched between Hollywood heartthrobs Jacob Elordi and Andrew Garfield at the Marrakech International Film Festival, and social media just couldn’t handle it.

Dressed in a chic black printed outfit, Zoe looked relaxed as she sat next to Andrew in an olive green suit and Jacob in a classic black and white suit. A photo of the trio lying on a couch quickly went viral, leaving fans wondering if it was a director’s dream panel or a montage for an international rom-com.

Fans flooded X (formerly Twitter) with hilarious and heartfelt reactions. “Zoya Akhtar chilling with Jacob Elordi and Andrew Garfield is killing me,” exclaimed one user. Another chimed in: “Oh, sitting between Andrew Garfield and Jacob Elordi like Zoya Akhtar at the Marrakesh International Film Festival.” The jealousy was palpable, with one fan declaring: “Jealous, jealous, super jealous of Zoe.”

While Zoe was casually friends with these Hollywood heavyweights, she was also there on serious business. The Marrakech International Film Festival, one of the largest in the Middle East and North Africa, has assembled an impressive jury for its 21st edition. Ali Abbasi, Patricia Arquette, Virginie Efira, Nadia Cunda and Santiago Mitre were also included in the jury chaired by director Luca Guadagnino (“Call Me by Your Name”).

Opening with Jude Law’s FBI manhunt thriller The Order, the festival showcases 14 films in competition, including Said Hamich’s Beyond the Sea and Demian Kokur’s Under the Volcano. But let’s be honest, it seems like the Internet is much more invested in Zoe’s newfound Hollywood circle than the shows.
