One dead, dozens injured as a result of a truck ram in Israel

Paramedic Elior Yosef, who arrived at the bus stop after the ramming, said he saw eight people “trapped under the truck”.

“Several other victims were either lying or walking near the truck,” Magen David Adom quoted him as saying.

Police and ambulances rushed to the scene, where AFP reporters saw police cordoning off the area and medics treating the injured as a helicopter hovered overhead.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas said in a statement that the “heroic ram” carried out near the “Mossad headquarters… was a response to crimes committed by the Zionist occupation” against Palestinians.
