Arne Slot is on the verge of suspension after receiving a yellow card in the match against Arsenal

Slot Arne claims that he was given a yellow card LiverpoolDraw 2-2 p Arsenal since his complaints about time-wasting tactics from Mikel Artetaof the Russian side were incorrectly heard by officials.

Liverpool conceded twice at the Emirates Stadium to earn a point when Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah canceled out goals from Bukayo Sak and Mikel Merino.

Slot, meanwhile, is on the brink of a Premier League ban after picking up his second yellow card of the season in the second half of Liverpool’s draw with Arsenal.

Another yellow card this season will mean Slott will be forced to watch Liverpool’s next domestic game from the stands.

However, the Liverpool manager revealed that the fourth official, Sam Barrott, misheard his complaint to Ibrahim Konate that Arsenal had slowed down the game in the second half.

“Last time I said I fully deserved the yellow card, this time I don’t think I did,” Slot said.

“Because they were on the floor so many times, which can happen in football, I don’t blame them for that, but they always went down after they had the ball.

“It took the energy out of the game in my opinion and I said to Ib, ‘That’s a terrible joke’, and the fourth official thought I said to him, ‘You’re joking.’ , that’s definitely not what I said.

“But I got a yellow for that, so now I’m on two and I have to be careful.”

Speaking in post-match analysis for Sky Sports, former Manchester United captain Roy Keane also blamed Arsenal for wasting time in the second half and questioned whether Arteta’s side were a credible challenger to Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

“I still look at the mentality of this Arsenal team…today when you watch them live, 2-1, regardless of the injury circumstances. Can you go on and not go on silly adventures, but can you take the initiative?” Keane said.

“Today they were winning 2-1 but they just fell behind. They were wasting time, they were trying to kill the game, I understand that.

“But if you’re the home team and you’re 2-1 up, take the initiative, use the fans behind you and I’m just worried about that belief, that mentality.

“Do they really believe and believe that they are the best team and can challenge Manchester City? I still can’t see.

“They’ve made a lot of progress and it seems very critical, but you have to look at it when you compare them to Man City and where they’ve come in the last few years.”
