Both victims were taken to local hospitals, Chatham police said.

Two people were injured after a car crashed into a restaurant in Chatham on Wednesday, authorities said.

The Chatham Police Department posted on Facebook that the crash happened around 9:22 a.m. at Larry’s PX Restaurant in Cape Cod.

Police said they found a 2017 Subaru Forester that had driven into the restaurant’s front entrance and got stuck a few feet from the building’s entrance. A 71-year-old woman from Chatham was driving the car, the report said. It is unclear if she will face any charges.

Photos of the crash show the destroyed exterior of the restaurant and the Subaru completely inside the establishment with a trail of dirt and debris behind it.

Emergency responders transported one restaurant employee and one patron to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the release said.

Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
