The Hyderabad Water Authority is filing a complaint after damage to a pipeline led to disruption of supply

Hyderabad: The water supply department has filed a complaint with the Narsinghi police against a person who allegedly damaged a drinking water pipeline. Naseer, a resident of Gandipet, reportedly destroyed a 500 mm pipe constructed under the ORR Phase-2 scheme while laying a sewer line to his house.

The damage caused a leak that disrupted water supply to approximately 800 homes, 20 villas and several users.

The water authority suffered losses due to this incident. In response to the damage, officials from the Water Board lodged a complaint with the Narsinghi police to take action against Naseer. Authorities are investigating to prevent similar incidents in the future.
