One dead, one injured in a double shooting in the Jefferson area

JEFFERSON PARISH (WGNO) — One man is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting in Jefferson Parish on Sunday, Oct. 27.

At 3:30 a.m., officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said they received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the 300 block of Brooklyn Avenue.

A nighttime murder in Algiers is being investigated

Deputies who arrived found two men with gunshot wounds in the house.

More detailed information is currently unavailable. Deputies are currently gathering evidence and information to identify a possible suspect and motive.

A man and a woman have died in a suspected Slidell murder-suicide

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased victim once the family has been notified.
