1 dead, 3 injured in Mckees Rocks shooting

Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and three injured in McKees Rocks on Saturday.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to a call for assistance in McKees Rocks after reports of a shooting at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Ridge Way.

Ambulance workers found an adult man and an adult woman and took them to district hospitals, where the victim was pronounced dead. The injured woman is in serious condition.

According to the district police, the third victim was wounded in the hand and was treated at the scene. The fourth victim arrived at a local hospital with a chest wound, the victim’s condition is currently stable.

None of the people involved have been identified.

“Detectives are investigating,” county police said in a news release Sunday. “Preliminary information indicates that the shooting occurred outside, and detectives believe there were at least two shooters.”
