A woman and a dog were found dead in the village of Klimax

CLIMAX, Michigan. — One person is in custody after a woman and dog were found murdered in the village of Climax.

Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to North Main Street, just north of Maple Street, on Saturday around 10 p.m. There they found a dead woman and a dog, the report says.

The woman’s death is classified as murder.

The suspect was arrested at the scene. Investigators say there is no threat to the population.

The suspect is being held in the county jail pending charges.
