Four Alberta men have been charged following a homicide investigation

Following an investigation, four Alberta men have been charged with the murder of a Manning, Alberta man.

On May 25, Fairview RCMP received a report that four bear hunters had found a body in a remote area.

Officers from the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit, working alongside members of the Fairview RCMP, conducted the investigation.

After an autopsy on May 27, the cause of death was declared a homicide.

On May 28, the deceased was identified as 54-year-old Manning, Alta. Resident Wilfred Revere.

After an investigation on October 23 and 24, four people were charged with Revere’s murder.

Christopher Wallin, 32, of Berwyn, Alta., was charged with second-degree murder.

Manning resident Brooke Burton, 44, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and battery.

Glenn Whitney, 57, of Fairview, Alta., was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and battery.

Guy Wallin, 57, of Berwyn, Alta., was charged with accessory to murder and assault.

After a bail hearing, all four men were remanded in custody. They are scheduled to appear in court in Peace River on Oct. 28 via video surveillance.

Fairview is located 115 kilometers north of Grand Prairie, Alberta.
