In a recent interview, Sonali Kulrani recalled how Sanjay Dutt calmed her down when she was very nervous while shooting the ‘bedroom scene’ in Mission Kashmir.

The action film “Mission Kashmir”, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, was released in 2000. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonali Kulkarni, Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. In a recent interview, Sonali recalled shooting an intimate scene with Sanjay in the film. She recounted how Dutt asked her to relax during a scene the group dubbed “the bedroom scene”.

Speaking to popular YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Dil Chakhta Hai the actress said: “There was a scene that everyone called the ‘bedroom scene.’ She didn’t have to be called that, but that’s what people called her then. The hairdresser, after I changed my costume, suddenly asked me: Did you do the depilation correctly? I was shocked, said I was dressed and I was so nervous and I just couldn’t concentrate, my hands were shaking.

“I was so nervous, I was adjusting my dress, standing, sitting. Sanjay saw this and called me. He said, “Ismein na, pappi bhi nahi hai, bas do dialogue hai, aur hug karna hai (this scene is not even peck and then hug). He is too cute,” the actress recalled.

Sonali Kulkarni’s latest release was a romantic drama Love, Sitara. It also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Rajeev Siddhartha, B. Jayashree, Virginia Rodriguez, Sanjay Bhutiani and Tamara D’Souza. The film premiered on ZEE5 in September 2024. It was directed by the famous stage designer Vandana Kataria.
