Dominic Jofirisi, of Newbury, has pleaded not guilty to assault

A MAN will stand trial for assault.

Dominic Jofirisi appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 12.

A 27-year-old man from Berkeley Road, Newbury, is accused of assaulting Daniel Jones by beating him in Newbury on Thursday, August 12.

Mr Jofirisi, who was represented by Robert Jacques, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.

He was told that the case could not proceed that day and would be adjourned for a trial to be arranged.

Meanwhile, Mr Jofirisi has been released on unconditional bail.
