The Gallup poll showed a sharp decline in Ukrainians’ support for American policy – World

WASHINGTON, November 20. /TASS/. The Ukrainian people are increasingly dissatisfied with the way the US is handling the conflict in the country, as a Gallup poll shows that the US government’s approval rating has fallen by 26% compared to two years ago.

According to the poll, only 40% of respondents support the decisions the White House makes, down 13% from 2023 (53%) and 26% from 2022 (66%). Ukraine’s level of support for American policy has almost returned to the level it was before the start of the special military operation. Thus, the number of supporters and dissenters is almost equal. The number of people who oppose what the US government is doing has increased by 21% and now stands at 37%.

“The goodwill that the United States built up in the first months of the war has been lost,” the authors of the survey conclude.

The administration of US President Joe Biden actively supported Kyiv, providing significant financial aid and military resources. This support included arms supplies, training of Ukrainian military personnel, and humanitarian aid worth more than $59 billion. Russia has repeatedly stated that sending weapons to Ukraine will not reduce Russia’s determination and will not change the course of the special operation.
