Two bodies found on South Wardsboro Road | Local news

NEW FAINE — Vermont State Police are investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found Friday night. The scene is secured as police investigators process the evidence.

Shortly after 5 p.m., police received a call from relatives who reported finding two family members dead inside a home on South Wardsboro Road. Paramedics confirmed the death upon arrival at the scene.

According to the press release, the initial investigation indicates that this was an isolated incident involving individuals who knew each other. According to available data, all those involved in this incident have been identified. No one is in custody. The state police did not find a threat to the public.

Vermont State Police continued to investigate Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, on South Wardsboro Road in Newfane after two bodies were found inside a home Friday night.




The bodies of the deceased will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Burlington for autopsies to confirm identity and determine the cause and manner of death.
