Footage of President Joe Biden “wandering” in the Amazon rainforest has gone viral, but it’s not what it seems.

On Sunday, Biden became the first sitting president to visit the Amazon, first taking an aerial tour of the region and then walking through part of the rainforest with his daughter Ashley and granddaughter Natalie at the Museum da Amazônia in Manaus, Brazil.

The president delivered brief remarks in which he mocked President-elect Donald Trump, saying “nobody can take back” his green legacy, while imploring humanity to protect the ancient forest that acts as the Earth’s “lungs.”

He then left the podium surrounded by teleprompters and headed down the aisle.

It was the same way he entered, and reporters at the scene confirmed to DailyMail.com that Biden did not get lost.

But online observers mistook the clip for the 81-year-old having a senior moment.

The X @PopBase account posted a clip of Biden’s exit with the innocent title: “Joe Biden becomes first sitting US president to visit Amazon rainforest.”

But it has left many people wondering where the president is going.

Internet users have expressed concern over this clip, which shows President Joe Biden “wandering” in the Amazon rainforest. In fact, he was walking the same route he took to get to his podium on Sunday afternoon

“Wait, where is he going? SAVE HIM FROM THE JUNGLE. HE IS TOO OLD,” said one user online.

“And he was never seen again,” another commented.

Another posted a meme of John Travolta in the jungle, calling it “Biden wandering in the rainforest.”

The @Fan4me account responded with a clip of actress Jamie Lee Curtis with Halloween’s Michael Myers creeping in the background.

“Legend says he’s still hiding there,” the user wrote.

Biden actually returned to his motorcade on Sunday so he could fly from Manaus to Rio de Janeiro, where he will attend the G20 with other world leaders on Monday and Tuesday.

He arrived from Lima, Peru, where he attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines.

Throughout the trip, Biden refused to talk to the press.

His exit through the rainforest on Sunday came as reporters shouted questions at him about his decision to give Ukraine permission to fire long-range weapons into Russian territory – a move that angered the Kremlin.

Their inquiries were drowned out by local tour guides playing maracas.

When Biden and his roving reporters returned to the airport, he again ignored the questions, including “why are you hiding from the press sir?”

A television producer even held up placards urging the president to speak.

One sign read “Xi” because the president did not speak to the press about his meeting with Xi.

Instead, national security adviser Jake Sullivan briefed reporters in Lima.

The second sign read “Ukraine???” after news of long-range weapons appeared.

The Democratic president didn’t answer a single question before Vice President Kamala Harris lost the election to Trump earlier this month.

During an Oval Office meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, he suggested he would like to see the reporter who was hit in the head by a television camera nearby.

She asked if he thought he could negotiate a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas before he leaves office on January 20.
